Pete C For Glen..... Mon Feb 11 07:58:08 2002 194.196.100.55 Hi Glen Sorry - missed this request earlier.... you can change the mix on the fly (whilst playing) - the final settings are always saved in SONG mode as i30 SONGs. I later edit in the events (volume/pan/program etc) for FINAL SMF creation. If you want to "edit" mixes in "real-Time" and actually record these changes in the track(s), then for each track:- 1. Decide which track you want to record a new mix (i.e. volume up & down or panning left & right). 2. Select the track as if to record it. 3. In "Pref" tab select "Overdub" -- THIS IS IMPORTANT ELSE YOU WILL OVERWRITE YOUR WHOLE TRACK!!! 4. Get into the "Mix" tab for the track in question. 5. Press "WRITE" button, then "START" (you are now recording the track) 6. Now adjust the volume and/or pan for that track whenever you want - these events are actually stored "real-time" inside the track for all time. 7. Suggest you save to disk if you are happy with it. Have fun Pete
