Pete C Punch-in feature of the i30 Wed Jan 16 18:33:43 2002 Hi all Sorry if you are already fully aware of this, but thought that it was an i30 feature that might easily have been overlooked.... BTW, this message refers to the message below from Oscar regarding "Manual editing in tracks". Oscar's question was "can you edit-in some note changes in a track by playing the actual keyboard as opposed to manually entering the event data". The answer is YES. There is a feature on the i30 (as for the i3) to enable you to "punch-in" track changes by simply playing the keyboard. There are two options for punching-in. The "Manual" option simply punches-in what you play. The "Auto" option (nice one!!!) enables you to restrict the measure range in which the punch-in can occur. Hope this is of some use. Glen, This really is a feature (fully documented in the Korg i30 manuals) as opposed to a tip, but Glen, if you think it appropriate, maybe it can go into a "Did you realize...." section on your great web site. {REFERENCE: Pages 15/16 in the "i30 Parameter Guide"} Take care Pete Pete C Punch-in feature of the i30.. more.. Wed Jan 16 19:11:03 2002 Just to clarify things... In SONG mode, these features are in the "Pref" tab in "SONG Program & Mix screen". In BSQ mode, these features are in the "Pref" tab in "BSQ Extra Kbd Tracks" screen". Punch-in from BSQ "Arrangement" screen is according to your REC/PLAY settings for the arrangement tracks (KBD, CHORD, CONTROL) - punch-in seems to work automatically. Cheers Pete
