Using cakewalk. Take a kar file. Change the extension to .mid . Load the file into cakewalk and do your editing. you can even edit the lyrics. if you play around with the numbers you'll eventually know which banks to use for differnts drum kits and the like. transpose, change volume, velocity, whatever you want. save the file. at that point you can save it to 3.5 and play or load it to the hard drive, if your i30 has one. If your i30 and is interfaced with the computer you can play it back using cakewalk as the controller. If you want to play it back with lyrics on a kar reader on your computer rechange the .mid back to .kar. the computer kar reader will treat it like normal. this work on most files. sometimes i'll get certain ones that have coding that prevent this. but, it's rare. but you to do this in the computer. the i30 will do as you said an eliminate the lyric track. i've done hundreds for my self and my friend who doesn't have a computer. have fun SideCar Charlie
